A research proposal by Dr. Unni Kartha and Ms. Neeraja N from our department has been accepted for a joint research collaboration with the Institute of Ocean Energy, Saga University, Japan (https://www.ioes.saga-u.ac.jp/en/). The research focuses on the seismic analysis of offshore wind turbines, an area of growing importance for the safety and reliability of renewable energy infrastructure.
This collaboration will involve exchange of technical knowledge and research methodologies between the two institutions. The work is expected to contribute to improved understanding of structural response of offshore wind systems under earthquake loading conditions. The project will also provide opportunities for student participation and future academic cooperation between the institutes.
