CIAL solar plant visit

As part of the our college level Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) initiative, students from final year and faculty members visited the Cochin International Airport’s (CIAL) solar power facility on August 11, 2025. 

Students and faculty members from our department were also part of the team that visited the facility. 

CIAL holds a pioneering distinction as the world’s first fully solar-powered airport, achieving complete operational power neutrality since 2015.

The visit was very informative and helped students understand how solar power works on a large scale and why renewable energy is important.
