Aavishkar 2026

Our annual final-year Project Expo, Aavishakar 2026, was held on 24 March 2026 in the department seminar hall. The expo brought together project teams who showcased a year of dedicated effort to juniors and faculty members.

Walking into a civil engineering project expo is like stepping into the future. Each stall presents a unique idea - from sustainable building designs to advanced transportation systems to solutions to landslides to water resource management, often reflecting current global needs and challenges. There is a lighter side too - its a photo shoot session too - student groups taking their photos with their work, their guides, capturing memories of their work.

It is an exciting occasion where we can witness the enthusiasm of students as they passionately explain their work and its relevance. Aavishakar 2026 was inaugurated by our Principal, Dr. Jacob Thomas V. Dean, Dr. Unni Kartha, HoD, Dr. Kavitha, and all other faculty members, who joined the occasion.

The expo showcased a wide range of domains, including Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Sustainability in Civil Engineering, Building Materials, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, and Remote Sensing and GIS. This wide range highlights the breadth and diversity of projects undertaken by the students this year. Each project was unique and guided by a faculty mentor, with a few also receiving industry support.

The expo also featured a prize pool of ₹10,000 across various categories:

The results will be announced during the farewell function, scheduled for 27 March 2026.
