Alumni meet the First Years!

The classes for our 2026 admission started on 17 August 2026 and as part of the induction program of the department, we welcomed our three alumni members to interact with them on 18 August 2026. Dr. Neena M . Gopi (2014-18 batch), Ms. Sandhwana S (2021-25 batch) and Ms. Gayatri Krishnakumar (2011-15 batch) were the speakers. 

Dr. Neena is an Ad hoc Asst. Prof at GEC Thrissur and shared her education journey and motivated students to approach academics with confidence and positive attitude. Ms. Sandhwana, who is currently working at Aarbee group spoke about the challenges and preparation required for industry jobs.

Ms Gayathri who is a project engineer at Gulf Arena Group of Companies, Dubai, spoke about the industry expectations and her career. Having spent 8 years in fisat, four years as student and four years as a faculty member, she offered students a unique perspective based on her experiences both as a student and as a faculty member. Her journey highlighted the diverse career opportunities available within the field of Civil Engineering and encouraged students to explore different paths based on their interests and strengths.

The interaction gave students an opportunity to learn not only about professional careers but also about the importance of technical knowledge, practical experience, communication, confidence and continuous learning. The alumni shared their experiences openly, helping students gain a better understanding of what lies beyond the classroom.

The session concluded on a memorable note with the honouring of the alumni with mementos as a token of appreciation for their valuable time and inspiring interaction with the students.





We look forward to many more such enriching interactions, where the experiences of our alumni inspire and guide the next generation of civil engineers.
