A final year student project from our 2026 graduating batch has led to a published patent for developing a sustainable "Sugarcrete" brick.
Guided by Dr. Asha Joseph, the team developed this lightweight, low-carbon alternative to conventional masonry units using sugarcane bagasse fibres.
The project was carried out by Tiya Tony, Navami Chandrabose, and Madhav Soman, who graduated this year.
