Executive Member of ICI

Our faculty member, Dr. Kavitha P E, Associate Professor has been elected as a member of the newly constituted Executive Committee of the Indian Concrete Institute - Kochi Centre. Congratulations Dr. Kavitha PE. 

The Department looks forward to fostering a fruitful collaboration with ICI to advance professional development in Civil Engineering.

Basketball title!

FISAT basketball women's team secured second position in KTU D zone Basketball championship and qualified to the Inter zone basketball championship for the first time. We are proud of you, Anjana Gireesh, 2023 admission B.Tech CE, who was a part of the team.

Industrial visit and tour

The students of seventh semester BTech of the Department went for an industrial visit to Prime Steel Industry and Road Construction work by Amala Constructions during 2nd to 7th October 2024. 

The team consisted of 78 students and 6 faculty from the department. The students got an opportunity to see the construction work and equipments firsthand which helped them to have a hands on experience on what they have studied in their classroom sessions.

The team also had a time of fun and enjoyment while visiting places like Chickmagallur, Dandeli and Gokharna. Be it the jeep trekking at Chikmagalur or the water sports at Dandeli, these experiences truly strengthened their bond.

The serene beaches of Gokharna was a welcome change from the regular classroom sessions and stress of studies. The trip ended with a visit to the famous Murudeswar temple where they could understand the architecture and construction of the tall structure.

The trip was enlighting as well as a chance to form a closer connection with their batchmates as they move out of campus at the end of the academic year
